Slightly obsessive

Somehow I got into this annoying habit of making up useless rules and end up forcing myself to stick to them regardless of how little sense they make. Like when I decided that every time I won at expert level on minesweeper I'd play beginner again until I beat my own record, then intermediate until beating the record, then I could go back to playing expert. I'd actually feel guilty if I broke this rule... This lasted until I got stuck at beginner level for days for not being able to beat my 10 sec record, then I got pissed off and abolished the rule altogether.

But I create laws for myself in more aspects than computer games, I suppose. Gotta analyze my life to find out what other pointless rules are keeping me from moving forward and get rid of them.
